UNC's offense is much faster tempo than ours. That is

a big concern. I hope it doesn't neutralize any advantage our defense might have had. our defense has struggled against NC State, Syracuse and South Carolina, but none of those teams had a quick tempo offense like UNC. Also, UNC offense is just better than those offenses. We even had some down defensive moments vs Boson College.
I think there were games where the UNC offense looked human. They did not run away with the scoreboard against Virginia, or Pitt, but they still won those games.

There is no real advantage to a fast tempo offense. It wears out the opposing defense and it wears out its own defense pretty equally.

They had that same fast tempo offense last year.

defense they had last year. East Carolina had scored 70 the week before. This UNC defense is much better. And, while I have been pleasantly surprised at how good our defense is this year after losing so many players from last year, I don't think our defense is quite as good as it was last year.
Also that was a home game for us.

I think that we found out that running an offense that fast, that on 3 and punt series, it wears our defense down.

We also know the downside from our own experience. 3 and out can put your defense back on the field in less than a minute.

Do you realize that our defensive "struggles" have had absolutely NOTHING to do with tempo at all? It may or may not be a problem, but don't reference Cuse and SC and NC State like that is evidence. You sound like a coot.
