I think his college stock will still be just fine. Seems to be a sellers market in college football right now anyways with so many spots opening up.

He tried to run an NFL organization like he did Oregon. Only a few problems with that..every team has the same talent level and athletes that you do, and you only have 53 total roster spots, compared to what he suits up every Saturday.
I think he took the risk knowing if it blew up he'd still have a job at the college level overnight at pretty much any school he chooses. If it worked, he'd be a genius and set for life in the league.

The team that pulls in the players usually win. He recruited well and coached his system well. only way he wouldn't do it again is if he does something crazy like Petrino to hurt his reputation with the parents of these kids

and a bad season without a starting QB. He is not done. I am not saying he will succeed, but he will be coaching the Eagles next year.

Saban and Spurrier come to mind immediately. Pete Carroll was a bust his first go around in the NFL, too. Petrino was a trainwreck, but his team lost their quarterback right before the season and then he left in the middle of the night...
