Shannon,Roof,Chizik. I am sure there are others good and bad, just funny that I could only think of the ones that didn't do well. Seems most were OCs. Saban maybe.

Chizik won a natty, but it wasn't because of defense...

Looking around the nation at the most successful HC's, most are offensive-minded it seems. I don't care who they hire, but someone like Smart would view the job as a stepping stone, hoping to get a call when Saban hangs it up.

Strong was plenty...ahem...strong at Louisville. Texas is an arrogant septic tank at the moment, but he'll right the ship, if the junior chefs will get out of the bloody kitchen! If they don't...Charlie will move on..and Texas will sink further for a while.

Texas has too many big money boosters who are used to the Mack Brown butt-kissing. Charlie isn't going to play that game, so he's not very popular with them, at least that's what I gather from what I see written in articles.

Charlie Strong is a better head coach than Muschamp. He inherited a dumpster fire. No comparison.
