South Carolina: Shawn Elliott and AD Ray Tanner have denied a report from Fox Sports that South Carolina assistants have been told to stop pursuing commitments from recruits in order to save scholarships for the next coach, telling reporters the report is not true.

I believe they were told to stop offering them because no one was accepting, said they were embarassing themselves.
