Deer dugatiger....

Nov 1, 2015, 9:12 PM

Since you insist on being so critical of everyone, how about you post about some of the GOOD things you saw some of our guys doing throughout the game? You ARE aware we won, right? We are 8-0 now after scoring 60 on the road against an opponent who always plays us tough, yet here you are harping on Peake and Boulware and whoever else you decide to call out.

We very well may be the #1 team in the rankings on Tuesday yet people continue to gripe about stuff. Some people, man

You couldn't be more FOS! I think our team is doing GREAT, and I have said so many times. We absolutely wore FSU out by the end of the game, and several of their 'injury' related game delays seemed to be like ugay and LSU players needing a breather. Have there been times I have seen a guy "look" as though he didn't finish a play? Yes I have. Their coaches have seen it, too. Do they rate very high marks overall? Yes they do, and I will say that since I posted about Peake, he has played extremely well. I am very proud of him and Boulware, as well as the rest of the team. We aren't perfect, yet, but we are very good and getting better, and it is fun. I hope you are enjoying it, too. We have way more going right than we do that needs a reinvention, but there still are things that aren't perfect. I want us to fix those things, too, though, and I am confident Dabo and staff are working on them.

I was referring to your statement that I "insist on being so critical of everyone" and implying that I don't post about good things. That's why I played the FOS card. I try to be very fair with assessments, good and bad. I know the things these guys hear in the locker room and in practices and film review sessions. I know, because I was a Clemson player and spent 4 years sitting in those meetings, watching game and practice film and studying what went right and what missed the mark, then figuring out how to fix it. I never said anything untrue. Lack of effort is a pet peave of mine, and yes I was guilty of it at times, too. They are kids, but every play matters. All that said, Saturday was a pretty impressive effort by everybody, and the effort of Peake, Leggett, the OL/DL, DW, Gallman and everybody on the team was pretty special. I'll take that every day. Very proud of our team, and very proud to be a Clemson fan.
