SB Nation Article with Spot-on Dabo Comment

Oct 13, 2015, 5:58 PM

http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2015/10/13/9519779/steve-spurrer-retired-south-carolina-florida

"Dabo sees Clemson as a place he’s a part of, not a place that is a part of him. Part of their rivalry came from this stark difference, sure, but that’s part of the story. Swinney will coach his last season to the final whistle and take a final lap around the stadium. Spurrier just skipped town like a drifter headed for the train tracks."

A fantastic article overall as well. Hall does a fantastic job explaining the great & not so great things about Spurrier and what drives him (or drove, at least).

He really has insight into the way the man thinks. Makes me almost feel sorry for him (Spurrier). A man like that may have some golfing buddies but I doubt he has any real friends.

True, but I think he's happy enough. He's going to go down as one of the best coaches of all time and certainly one of the most unique.

I'm just hoping he becomes a college football analyst on one of the big networks. Next weekend, if possible.

No thanks - I've spent the last decade paying to hear a washed up coach turned analyst bash Clemson and predict our failures at every chance he gets. "Analysts" should be unbiased.. And you know what - I would probably give Spurrier the benefit of the doubt now. But.. I've heard enough garbage from Lousthsh to last me a lifetime. Besides, Spurrier is probably done with following in Holtz'sths footstepths.

Funny thing is, I don't think Spurrier would be THAT

anti-Clemson. He may not always give us a fair shake, but I think he'd just jab everyone.

May be a UF homer, but that's kind of understandable.
