Knoxville area radio syndicate

Oct 9, 2015, 7:36 PM

My dad is going to be in the Knoxville area this weekend. He asked if I could find a way for him to listen to the game over the air. He's going to be in/around Townsend officially.

Looking at the station list for CTSN, I can't find any in TN. Any folks on here from the area? Is it possible outside of a smartphone?

I live in Knoxville. No radio stations for CTSN. Only internet. May not even get that in Townsend as it's up against the mountains.

Man, I live in Aiken and can't even pick it up on the radio

so I kind of doubt it's available in Knoxville. The Clemson radio sports network negotiated for an AM station over here a few years ago, and it can't even be picked up in town. I was told that a coot owned all the radio stations in this area and he didn't want us on FM. I know Clemson business people in this area who pulled their ads when it happened.

He's at a wedding and was hoping to get the game in as well. They are generally a UT group, so probably not going to win out over the UGAvUT game in the same slot.

I'll let him know.

maybe he can get a portable radio that picks up TV audio?

I used to have one that could get over-the air TV frequencies.

Not actually sure they still make them, but maybe they do.
