Cain and Thompson

Oct 9, 2015, 9:07 AM

I have a feeling this week will be the week that they show out.

Cain 4 receptions for 65 yards and a TD
Thompson 3 receptions for 70 yards.

It would mean a lot because teams are going to start scheming us to stop the run.

Ray Ray has been pretty consistent this year. I was more or less saying its time to see the Deon and Trevion show!

I think we will see Ray Ray on some Jet Sweeps and in the screen game this week. He will be involved as well.

We still have not let loose on offense due to: warm-up games to start the season, short practice week with a young team, and then playing in a hurricane. This week we will get to see the full offense, and I for one CANT WAIT!!!

Defensive Schemes have impacted play calling

Oct 9, 2015, 9:54 AM

We've seen a lot of safeties over the top, which dictates more screens, runs, and middle distance passes. The theory was that ND would play their DBs tight and open up the downfield game. The early lead and weather certainly skewed our play calling there. I can see a very different outcome if we complete a couple downfield passes only to have receivers cough the ball up running after the catch. BTW, we saw that exact scenario with some ND receivers.
