Anyone else surprised by NDs 2 point attempt?

We shut the run down all game, yet they call a QB keeper? Yes our defense was gassed at the time, but they were gashing us with the pass game. Im happy they called it and props to our D for coming up big... I just don't get the leprechauns play call. If the Co Ocs haven't already taken Coach V out for steak, ill take him out cause he deserves it.

And we didn't defend the QB run all that well. But Kelly should have known better, they weren't getting that ball into the end zone, no way, no how!!

Brian Kelly probably thought they couldn't score 3 td's in a qtr, since they hadn't scored a TD in the first 3. So he probably thought a fg and td was a more likely outcome.

Maybe they thought we'd be gearing to stop a WR crossing route that they killed us with over and over.

Knowing Clemson, it's the last play I would have called with our DL and LBs absolutely bearing down on runs yet struggling in coverage somewhat.

Bad because if you don't make it, it makes them necessary every other time afterwards. Worst coaching move of the night for ND IMO

That play was called by Elliot/Scott by intercepting the communication line from the booth down to Brian Kelly--that's the only thing that makes sense.

Why do people think that our co-OCs are the only ones who make dumb calls? Apparently the ND OC was doing it too!
