Victory Formation ?

Oct 4, 2015, 11:08 AM

I know I know...complaining about small things. I should enjoy the win and I very much am but Shotgun victory formation?!? Did I miss it in other games? The snap went into his body luckily. In the wet environment, could have easily gone over his head. I've never seen a shotgun victory formation before.

It's well know DW is more comfortable that way

Combining that with ZERO bad snaps, why not be comfortable?

Why I did not like the shotgun snap on that play...

Oct 4, 2015, 11:20 AM

I too questioned the shotgun snap. What bothered me the most was it was inside our own 10 yard line. A bad snap almost certainly gives a better chance for ND to get a TD. Under center would likely keep a score from happening. I would have been okay with it if we were at least outside our own 30 yard line.

I think we have gotten better at making smart plays in key situations, but I have a hard time understanding that one. I cannot imagine the uproar if ND had scored off a bad shotgun snap and we had lost the game.

Wasn't it after the onside kick?***

You are correct... I was thinking it was after...

Oct 4, 2015, 12:24 PM

one of the fumbles deep inside our territory. I now recall seeing a back behind Watson in prevent on that snap.

Thanks for pointing out, and I stand corrected. Although I wasn't trying to be critical, I did question the decision for what I thought had happened.

Didn't realize there was a back behind Watson. Now that makes sense. That makes me feel better about it.

I wondered the same thing

Oct 4, 2015, 12:27 PM

Did not feel comfortable with that. I asked the same thing on here.
