nothing flashy about that coot team we saw

Sep 4, 2015, 12:35 AM

there is definitely some improvement in the middle of their Dline, and their defense made some opportunistic plays, but offensively they are a nightmare. There is no talent, identity, chemistry, leadership, nothing. They are a one man show, with a couple of solid, but not spectacular backs. This is not an offense that will put many points on the board, they barely scored 17 against what is still a very soft UNC defense.

And yes, teams improve through out the year, but I saw very little for them to build on or to get excited about. Conner Mitch might not even be average, and I am curious to see him play against a dominant Defensive front that pressures him on every play.

it really could get ugly in a handful of games, they will still hemorrhage points against tougher competition and I doubt their offense can keep up with the majority of their schedule. 7-5 should be considered a really good year in Columbia.

6-6 is incoming.

UNC was my swing game between 5-7 and 6-6. So congrats, coots! You're average!
