Be forced out. This guy is a joke.

He won't resign or be forced out because....

while he's screwed-up some of these discipline situations he's done a hell of a lot to grow the NFL brand and exposure and, above all, revenue.

He's great at the business side of his job and that's the main thing the owners look at and expect out of him. The biggest issue the NFL faces from what the "experts" are saying is not the discipline issues but the medical exposure and liability issues that are growing as former players are getting older. That's what they're afraid of. That's what can hurt them financially and reputation-wise.

that would have all happened without him. Bottom line is he's been the face of NFL management during a time the league has never looked worse from PR and player management stand point. He has zero idea what he's doing when it comes to penalizing and disciplining players. On Goodell’s watch, two indefinite suspensions have been overruled, a pair of one-game bans have been eliminated, two multi-game suspensions have been reduced, and all the players disciplined in the Bountygate scandal were able to overturn their suspensions. Adrien Peterson's case was overturned and thrown out and Ray Rice's was reduced from indefinite suspension to 10 games. Almost every significant case the guy has ruled on has either been completely thrown out or reduced drastically.

I'll agree - he's got to get it together....

or then he's going to have real problems with the NFL players union.
