I need to vent a bit. I'm not clever with the interwebs or quips like most of you are. But I don't understand the reluctance by many of you to pick the Tigers this year based on a "fragile" quarterback situation (lack of depth, likes to run the ball, etc.). How many past champions, with the exception of an anomaly last year, could win it all if their #1 QB went down? I'm not saying we will or won't, just don't use that as a reason we can't.

The "fragile" quarterback, the lack of depth, and the questions on the D side of the ball will lead rational minds to err on the side of caution when making predictions. Let's not forget about the perception of ACC competition.

I don't think anyone can say one way or another until the product is on the field against an FBS team. Predictions are fun. I promise the current natty rally folks will be crazy shocked if the Tigers lose to Louisville.

Btw - I don't really include the fragility of DW in my thought process, but I will if he sprains his big toe this Saturday.

Louisville has no secondary. We will smoke em good. I don't think they have much of a QB either

When was the last time Clemson had two great QB's on the team at the same time? Dechane Cameron maybe?

I pick the Tigers to win the ACC but I can't argue with those folks who pick FSU or GT. Each can claim reasons why they will be champs.

If everything stays as is, I think we have a great shot at winning the ACC and getting in the playoff. But I think many of us know that we have to have things break our way to run or nearly run the table.

No different than any other championship caliber team. No chest thumpng, just cautious optimism.
