Spartanburg (Tavien Feaster)
@ Wakulla FL 1PM ESPNU

Rose (Cornell Powell) 56

Fort Dorchester (John Simpson) 36
@ Carolina Forest 28
Starting quarterback Dakereon Joyner, a sophomore with plenty of major offers, sat most of the first half in order to rest him for upcoming games. LaPrad learned his lesson in time. Midway through the second quarter, with the Patriots’ offense stalling, he inserted Joyner into the game. In three series, he led Fort Dorchester to a pair of touchdown drives, neither of which required more than a minute. Joyner finished the game 15-of-23 for 212 yards and two touchdowns in about two-and-a-half quarters. Had it not been a pair of Aaron Mouzon interceptions in the final quarter, folks may have been talking about the upset of the season.

Pinecrest (Sean Pollard) 44
@ Riverside 0

Eagle's Landing Christian (Chandler Reeves) 21
Stockbridge 28

Northgate (Jamie Skalski) 45
@ Shaw 0
* Jamie Skalskie had 6 PATs and a 20 yard FG
The visiting Northgate Vikings took it to Shaw in every facet of the game, blanking the Raiders 45-0 in their season opener. The Raiders advanced to the Northgate 1-yard line in the fourth quarter to attempt to break the shutout, but the Viking defense kept Shaw out of the end zone.

Roswell (Tre Lamar) 52
Centennial 0

Dooly County (Tony Clayton) 32
Wilcox County 8

Wake Forest (Dexter Lawrence) 50
Apex 3

Wake Forest (2-0, 0-0 Cap 8) sprinted out to a 27-0 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Their lead swelled to 44-0 by halftime, even taking a knee at the Apex (1-1, 0-0 Southwest Wake) 1-yard line to send the teams to the locker room. Wake Forest's Shy'heem Mitchell then returned the opening kick of the second half to wrap up the scoring on the night for the Cougars. From there, the game was played with a running clock.

One to keep an eye on-
RB Datron James 5-10 202 Fort Dorchester
