Nyles Pinkney sounds like the name of a thin, pale frat boy.

I keed. I keed.

Welcome Nyles.

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car."

"I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it."

You have been watching too many Frazier re-runs. **

Or constitution delegates from South Carolina.

Believe there were two Pinkneys that were delegates to the constitutional convention.

Neither of them were related to Nyles***

But, sadly there is a bit of South Carolina's history ...

Aug 21, 2015, 3:55 PM

... that probably led to this young man's family having that last name.

Given the uproar subjects such as this caused on this message board (and all over the USA frankly) a couple of months ago, I'm going to just leave it there.

He can still be proud of it. Regardless of how he got it.***

I agree, I was just responding to the poster before me ...

... that said he wasn't related to them.

Whether this is true or not (thinking possible Thomas Jefferson type situation here) is irrelevant.

Take pride in your family and your surname young man.

As an aside, are there a lot of Pinkneys in the low country? I grew up in the upstate, the only time I ever heard the Pinkney name was in history books.
