ACC represented in the Women’s World Cup

Jul 6, 2015, 8:11 AM

Majority came from UNC (can’t help that) but just wanted to note how many players were from the ACC. If they were from the SEC, ESPN would have a 30 for 30 special about them and hit the repeat button for the next month. But since they are from the ACC….NOT ONE WORD (that I know of)

Ashlyn Harris: UNC Goalkeeper
Lori Chalupny: UNC Midfielder
Becky Sauerbrunn: Virginia Defender
Whitney Engen: UNC Defender
Meghan Klingenberg: UNC Defender/Midfielder
Heather O’Reilly: UNC Midfielder/Winger
Shannon Boxx: Notre Dame Midfielder
Tobin Heath: UNC Midfielder
Morgan Brian: Virginia Midfielder
Crystal Dunn: UNC Wing-Back/Winger
Tori Huster: FSU Midfielder
Kristie Mewis: Boston College Winger/Wing-Back
Allie Long: UNC Midfielder

Congrats to all the wimmins on the US National Team for bringing the World Cup back to the USA

"vacate" World Cup wins?

Jul 6, 2015, 8:26 AM

That many UNC players, there has to be some AFAM majors in there somewhere.

Abby Womback is from Florida and ESPN has already done a segment on her , not sure if it was a 30 for 30.

Congrats to the women for sure. Getting it done after the men could not. :)
