Weak instate class

Don't think I can remember a time when Clemson has only offered 5 instate player. It makes it much harder to recruit when you don't really have instate players to build a base from.

SC is a relatively small state; but, there is a good number of quality players within a reasonable traveling distance. Nebraska might envy Clemson's geographic recruiting footprint.

However, I agree with your point - better for Clemson when the numbers are up in our state.

quality than past classes. I believe that the small number of available scholarships we have coupled with the quality of players we are attracting may skew opinions on this issue.

Their recent success has been largely predicated on having top national recruits from the Palmetto State who grew up South Carolina fans.
