On the most American holiday everyone is at each other's throats. I for one an upset about things in this country that have transpired over the last few weeks. That being said it is still home and I still have more freedom and safety than anywhere else in the world. I have the upmost interest in defending that freedom. When it comes to the recent events, none of them will change my daily life and until anyone outright persecutes my church then I will continue to live the best Christian life I can. I know that I have lived a different life than most of the people I walk by every day the only difference now is that some of those peoples sins are a little less hidden and there might not be a flag that doesnt matter a whole lot to me on state grounds. Oh yeah watch out for sharks. In any case I just want to remind everyone that countries fall from disunification and on this 4th of July let's forget our differences like we always have and celebrate the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Obama has done some good things and made some mistakes. I blame his lack of experience for most of his mistakes. He should be more of a leader for all of us and not a community organizer in the White House.

Who the president is has never ruined my life or changed it much really. Living thru both types of politics my life doesn't change much. At the end of the day my choices control what happens. Does the government really control your daily life that much? I'm fine right now. So are the those around me. Not perfect but not at each others throats either. The vocal minority on social media painting such a horrible picture. The next president will be as bad as the one before Obama. The eight years before the current guy was horrible and so will the next eight depending on how you look at it. But somehow you survive. And these things we are struggling with existed before the guy in office.

nope, it is the people selling us crap on TV that control most people's lives. after all, they determine how we dress, eat, what we watch, what we consider attractive, consider truth, etc...

Yeah, that Ike with his high taxes on the wealthy, and all those social projects like the interstate, NASA, DARPA (using it now), etc. The minimum wage increases were dandy.
It ruled when he usurped Arkansas' national guard to make the 'necks act like human beings, and when he ignored that McCarthy dude who was always ranting about "socialist this, commie that."
Eisenhower was probably the best president this country ever had. Like Obama on 'roids.

The american people and this land is what I love, but I hate our government.Until the day comes where our personal lives are being harmed there will be ''peace''. I am a follower of Yeshua and yes the biblical values of this country are being drowned by the all mighty dollar, but the hardworking americans are the backbone of this country. Until that backbone is broken by the ''elect'' we can still enjoy freedom.God bless everyone!....and be safe out there today!! Go Tigers!

got your pissiness nailed down perfectly to the Obama years.....those Bush years were glorrrrrious, lol. This entire century has been a rough one and it started with Bush's election, his incompetence, and 9/11 occurring and we have never recovered and YES, I include Obama in that, but get yer head out yer butt. Bush was horrible. Maybe its the social stuff bugging you.
