I understand that the options are slim but wouldn't waiting five years just make the gap bigger? We have already seen the drastic money difference that the playoff has started. Now power-5 conference TV deals are through the roof and the big 12 is waiting? 5 years of 1-2 million dollar payouts will make it very difficult for any school to accomplish what the TCU's and Boise's did in the recent past.

I think that is the scary part for the little 5 conferences. It is about to get very difficult to compete. Who cares if you have to put up with Texas if you get 25 million more to do so.
