Congratulations to Matthew Crownover...1st Team All-American

Matt Crownover named a first-team All-American. Becomes first Tiger pitcher to earn first-team honors since Kris Benson in 1996.

Also

Reed Rohlman named third-team All-American, becoming second Tiger freshman, along with Taylor Harbin in 2005

And both could make an argument for freshman of the year and pitcher of the year! What publication named them? I tried to look up Baseball America, Perfect Game and CBCA but they do not have any teams listed??

of the ranking service.....I suspect even more 1st team All-America awards will be coming Mr. Crownover's way before its all over with. What an incredible season.....

Congrats to Reed Rohlman!! He was batting like a senior towards the end of the season!! Tough, tough out!! His future's so bright, he's gotta wear shades.

I see Mr. Funkhouser was relegated to 3rd team AA---certainly not an inconsiderable achievement, but there was much talk during the season that he was the best pitcher in the NCAA. Clemson's two wins over him in the last 3 weeks of the season (and he was CLOUTED!)undoubtedly contributed to his short drop in the rankings

Not a lot of players from the West Coast on these 4 teams.....which, to me, is a sign of regionalism....more years than not, pro scouts would probably disagree with the imbalance
