The Louisville series

There are only 2 pitchers from the ACC or SEC listed among the top 30 players in ERA among Div 1 pitchers. Matthew Crownover is 9th with a 1.22 ERA and Vandy's Carson Fulmers is 17th with a 1.52 ERA.
Zach Erwin has been excellent and continues to improve.
Koerner, Long and Schmidt have all had flashes of brilliance as starters. The bull pin has struggled at times, but we certainly have talent in the bull pin.
In our 23 ACC games we've out scored our opponents 137-118. That means that on average we out score our ACC opponents 6-5 (5.96-5.13).
This weekend we face Louisville. They have out scored their ACC opponents 126-53. That means on average they out score opponents 6-2.52. The difference isn't in our offense (we are almost identical to Louisville offensively), it's in our pitching and defense. If we play like we are capable - If the starters are efficient - We can win 2 of these games. They're probably going to be low scoring affairs because Louisville's pitching is awesome, but I don't know why we can't get 2.

Jboyboyd, as I remember, you and I predicted 6 W's out of the last 3 ACC series. They will need to be pretty stinking good to make that happen now. :)

To be honest I thought we should sweep GT, take one VS Louisville, and then 2 at Tallahassee....and the the two at Tally were the ones I was worried about!
