What's the chances we get two Heisman candidates this

Apr 25, 2015, 11:37 AM

season?

Watson's a possibility for sure. Anybody think Williams or Scott could have a stellar year? Especially with Watson throwing to them...that kid set all kinds of state records in high school. I got a feeling he's going to leave quite a mark by the time he hangs up the orange helmet...

if we win 10 games with a healthy Watson, he will be in NYC for sure. I am not sure anyone else on the team will get an invite, but Williams and Scott should have monster seasons and I see Mike leaving early for the draft.

When's the last time any team got 2 invited?

That's tough to do.

Watson will get an invite this year if he starts most games.

I would think USC in 2005 with Matt Lienhart and Reggie Bush

Really hard for a QB/RB combo from the same team to get invited. If one WR has a stellar year (1400 yards 14+ TDs) and the other still has 900-1000 yards and 8+ TDs a lot of the credit will go to Watson

M Williams is a stud he will be the go to guy this season. Along with Scott and a healthly CP it's going to be fun to watch. We will see how the young 5*s fit in, the Tiger O could be about unstoppable.

RBs and WRs will spread production; therefor, I would assume only Watson has a legitimate chance, and it's probably just as well. It would be neat to have a winner, and having two top candidates might prevent that by splitting the regional vote. USC is one of few teams that could have more than one contender and end up with a winner. Those elite teams would have to be pretty much perfect for that to happen.

So, possible? Sure. Likely? Nope. As others have mentioned, Watson gets an invite with 10 wins. He wins it with no more than one loss.

Absolutely No Chance.

The last wide receiver was Tim Brown - 28 years ago and he was from ND - not Clemson.

Clemson will barely push one, much less two.

Two would water down the chance for even one going to New York.
