to compete with Auburn's hiring of Bruce "Show Cause" Pearl....and it may make the Tide even more determined to leave no salary figure unspendable in their quest to lure Gregg Marshall to T-town

Of course, all three of those schools have to compete with Frank Martin's program at usuck

Alabama AD, Bill Battle, met with Greg Marshall today and has supposedly offered him a 6 year contract worth 4.1 million annually. Marshall was said to be interested in the Texas job, but how can he turn that kind of money down.

It could turn out to be a little less, but there is no doubt they have made him a huge offer.

I've known Gregg Marshall for a long time......

(well over 40 years), and I can tell you that he never got into coaching for the money.

If he doesn't feel like it's a great fit for him, and more importantly his family, he won't think twice about staying at Wichita.
