#1 .Dunham vs Sakerlina : that hit to begin the game , subsequent fumble and early Tiger points coupled with the eventual win . I believe and interpret that as the most "significant" hit of the 4 shown .

Not on here and sure its not on film but in fall of 1962 we were playing UNC and punted. Don Chuy got to the UNC return guy same time the ball did and literally knocked him out of his shoes. The UNC guy didn't move until the got him on a stretcher to haul him off. Hardest hit I ever saw. You could hear it over the crowd noise.

Miller Vs Maryland was one of the best hits ever, too bad he was the only one that showed up on D that day.

Watching Fudge play was worth not following the ball......

2 or 3 times a game, he'd just tattoo somebody.....and he never really got cranked up until somebody got a good block on him--or a dirty block (at least in his mind)....but once that fire was lit, an opponent with the ball was in some danger
You could tell there was no mercy in his heart.

The Matty Ice hit is my favorite but a few things get lost in that replay. He was the backup that year, and IIRC, that little flip pass where he lost his helmet was a completion for a first down I think. They went on to win that game for their first ACC victory. That replay makes me miss ol' Doc Walker.
