Wednesday we laid to rest my cousin Brett who was on the Tigers team as part of the Tigers Reserves 2003-2004.
Brett was, from an infant, a Tigers fan and it was his dream to play for the Tigers. Brett lacked size to play on the offensive line but as Coach Scott said...he made up for it dedication and work ethic. Alas starting for the time wouldn't happen but Brett did get in a few plays and ran down the hill a few times.
Coach Swinney was contacted about getting a jersey for Brett to be buried in,he responded with light speed. To see Brett in his beloved Tiger jersey was a comfort to us all. For this I'd like to say to Coach Swinney...thank you so very much. I'll never forget your kindness and that of your staff. They made sure all in the Tiger Nation knew of Bretts passing .
Brett was killed by a drunk driver. To all of those who love to tailgate and celebrate...please make sure that you have a designated driver.

Sad to hear your news, but so glad Dabo came through for him both then and now. Dabo is a class act and a real blessing to all who know him, and especially to our University.

Back in the fall they sent me DVDs of all the games to Afghanistan so I never had to miss Clemson football. Dwayne Allen also came to Afghanistan today on a USO tour and hooked me up with some stuff after I waved my Clemson flag at him. Couldn't be prouder to be a tiger.

Indeed. Apparently it starts at the top and trickles down. Grady's letter is another example. I have never been more pleased with our program than I am now. It is a joy to watch.
