No Talk about CJ leaving the Bills??

Mar 4, 2015, 1:24 AM

This is big news! Time for him to show off his abilities! Now where should it be?

He would do great in the eagles offense***

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

He said "I'm pretty sure Chip has my agents number"

You never know he being from the state of Florida could end up with the Jaguars,Buccaneers or Dolphins...probably will not happen but I personally would like to see him in Charlotte with the Panthers most of all or if not the Panthers then the Falcons

i'd love for him to be a panther.***

I think he'd be good in a pass-heavy offense

Mar 4, 2015, 10:42 AM

as more of an all-purpose back. Green Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, San Diego, Detroit, New York Giants, and Pittsburgh seem like the best fits to me.

I didn't include Philly because I think Sproles and Spiller overlap too much. Denver has too many similar RBs as well.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He would be an excellent change of pace back in

Mar 4, 2015, 10:46 AM

Pitt, but their offense goes through Bell and Brown. CJ better not expect to be the man there and if money as he has stated is his number one concern entering this free agency, he won't see it there.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I don't think any team will sign Spiller to be "the man"

Mar 4, 2015, 10:52 AM

I don't think Pitt is the absolute best fit for Spiller, but Bell got way too many touches for the Steelers last year. It would be beneficial to get Bell some help so that he could go from 370 touches to a more manageable number, so he's fresh for the playoffs.

There's also the Dri Archer factor in Pittsburgh. If the Steelers believe he's the real deal, there's no reason to sign Spiller, since their skills would overlap.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I wasn't concerned with a team making him the man.

Mar 4, 2015, 11:01 AM

I meant if CJ believes in his mind he should and can be the man. In the end, I think CJ has made it clear he is looking for a fat payday. Being a huge Steelers fan, I'm not sure what to make of Archer yet.

New Orleans or San Diego

Mar 4, 2015, 11:19 AM [ in reply to I think he'd be good in a pass-heavy offense ]

would both be good fits IMO, especially New Orleans. They are already use to using a back like CJ and would have him doing things similar to what they had Reggie Bush doing. Catching passes and returning kicks as well as RB on a rotational basis.

The Lions cut Reggie Bush. Could land there...
