Dude are you upset he wrote a story about a potential 5 star playing coming to Clemson? That's his job. What would you expect him to do?

If a writer putting a story prevents him from coming to Clemson, because of pressure from other schools then he wouldn't ever come anyway.

to the sharks before finalization? They'll beg and plead and negatively recruit and pay the kid whatever it takes for him to wait it out and hold off on a final decision before visiting other schools (chiefly, their own).

These kids KNOW that when they talk to people like Bartow and Farrell and the such that its going to get out. They like their name in print. If they didnt, then they wouldnt talk to them, keep it close to the vest, and not tell anyone. Its the way the game is played. If Feaster announces for Clemson, the recruiting will not stop from other programs. It will only get worse, the constant letters, the constant phone calls, especially from the $ec. The ONLY one that can shut that down is the player and family themselves.

In his defense, and admittedly he's a friend of mine, I find it hard to believe that Bartow would just disregard the wishes of a recruit or his family. Most of the information that he gets is based on gaining these people's, in addition to college and high school coach's trust. Breaching this trust would not serve him well in the future.
As such, I think that there may be more to this that we haven't yet heard.
