It always amazes me how the media will cut down and ridicule the non-SEC teams without doing their homework.

Why did Clemson schedule the two cupcake teams at the beginning of this year? Well, for the last several years, we started off with the likes of Auburn, Georgia, TCU, Alabama… I would think that even football fans with average intelligence (non-coots)would agree these are relevant programs. What we learned is, we need to start our season like the GREAT SEC WESTERN DIVISION does if we want to have a bunch of early wins and high rankings.

Just look at the strong programs the SEC West started their season with last year.

2014
Alabama – Fla Atlantic and Southern Miss
Auburn – San Jose State and Louisiana Tech
LSU – Sam Houston State and ULM
Arkansas – Nicholls State and Northern Illinois
Miss State – Southern Miss and South Alabama
Ole Miss – Boise State and Louisiana
Texas A&M – Lamar and Rice (you can also include SC since A&M won that one 52-28. SCU must have been a cupcake team too!

You can apologize to Tiger Nation through David Hood or Tommy Crumpton. I'm sure either will be glad to forward your response to the rest of us!!!

I had thought you were a pretty good reporter, but I guess you're trying to get in on the ESPN SEC bandwagon. Good luck, the wheels are coming off that ride.

Start counting the years since the SEC last won a national championship, they're getting ready to add up.

How tough our schedules were the last two seasons have no effect on the toughness of our schedule this season. I think what she's missing is that we were locked into ND. If we didn't have ND I'm sure we would have found another power 5 team to play.
