losses to GW and Winthrop keep us out of the NCAA only

if we end up 10-8 in ACC play, and don't do any damage in the tournament...
11-7 (which is 6-3 the rest of the way) in the ACC, plus wins over ARK and LSU put us safely in. An ACC team with 11 conference wins and an RPI in the 40's isn't getting left out, no matter who we lost to early.

meaning the "path" to get in...
11-7 in the ACC gets us in... period. That assures we'd have several quality wins on the year, and an RPI likely in the 40's somewhere.
From this point, 11-7 gets us in, regardless of how we get there

agree. it's not the gw or Winthrop loss that's the issue. it's the fsu loss. we have to split with nd and beat pack again. cannot lose to GT

will result in us having an RPI in the mid-50s going into the ACC Tournament. With a mid-50s RPI, if we lost in Round 1 of the ACC Tournament, we'd miss the NCAA Tournament.

least of our losses ----we were 3-1 against the SEC with 2 of those being high quality RPI wins against tourney teams
the FSU, Rutgers, Winthrop and GW losses were worse.... I still have a problem with considering GW a loss when I think the official scorer screwed us on the TO/Technical ordeal and the refs should have taken the time to sort out/correct
we will be given a pass on some of the early losses if our O continues to play well== the committee will recognize the fact that we were scrambling to replace our only scorer who left early for the NBA--

SEC isn't a power five conference in basketball....

there are several "mid major" conferences who field much better teams than the sec. This is basketball, not football.

LOL-- but actually they are 5th in RPI; ACC is 3rd, Pac 12

is 6th because the Big East is in 2nd but I think you know which conferences someone is talking about when they say power 5; and regardless of conf-- both Ark and LSU have good RPIs and we own wins over both
