Ga. Southern receive $1.1m from Clemson and ETSU receive $400k from Tennessee
According to a report by the Johnson City Press, the Tennessee Volunteers will host the East Tennessee State Buccaneers in 2018.
ETSU will reportedly receive a $400,000+ guarantee for the game at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. An official announcement is expected in the next few days and it may include the exact date the game is slated for in 2018.

much. Wofford is as good as Ga. Southern and we can get them cheaper. But, heck, it is only money and no one in
administration gives a hoot.

GSU, in the last two yrs. has lost to Wofford, Furman, App. St. and Samford. I would not classify them as any powerhouse thou they did take that SEC powerhouse Florida.

DRad doesn't mind spending money, many times when it is not necessary. Paying Ga Southern that amount of money is absurd.

One major difference between the 2 is Georgia Southern is an FBS team and ETSU is FCS. I still think that $1.1M is too much but these days most FBS teams require home-and-home. My guess is that we had to pay more not to have a home-and-home.

ETSU does not currently have a football team. They begin playing again in 2015 season. 1AA program.
