It would be in our best interest if Fla was doing a better job of recruiting. They suck and this is handing FSU all the recruits that want to stay in Florida.

Sure it helps us.
We pulled two 5-stars out of the state of Florida (Cain and McCloud.) We also pulled a 4-star OL (Fruhmogen), a 4-star TE (Williams), and a 3-star QB who owns just about every HS record in the state of Florida (Israel.)
That does not happen if the U and the Gators are as good as they were in the '90's or even the early 2000's. Or...rarely, anyhow. Urban Meyer was pretty much beside himself when he lost CJ Spiller; he just did not understand how one he wanted that bad got away to little old Clemson. It certainly hadn't happened much before.
We're benefiting. So is South Carolina. So is FSU. You take the good with the bad. Personally I'd be happy for UF and Miami to reek as long as they care to.

Gator program in worse shape than SCAR ... as bad as SCAR recruiting has appeared to be going the last few weeks, Florida is doing much worse.
