Charlotte 49ers in 2019

Jan 29, 2015, 3:19 PM

I don't know if this is new to you guys or not, but it is for us Charlotte fans.

Happy to see you guys on the schedule, even if it is just an ### whooping for a check for us and an easy win for you guys.

I look forward to making the trip down to Clemson for the game. It'll be my first time in Death Valley since the Panthers first ever victory against the Jets.

I'm not sure if you're being serious or not, but our program is only 2 years old. This year will be our first year in FBS after the two required years in FCS.

We're probably going to be terrible this year, but hopefully by 2019 we'll have a decent G5 level squad.

Main reason I know it is I live in Charlotte...I worked at one time for the father of your QB (Matt Johnson).

Did we really schedule UNCC?

Funny thing is, there will be more 49er fans in Death Valley than at a regular home game.

Seriously, I bet half the student body will make the road trip, while they can't be bothered to wake up for a noon game at their own stadium.

From what I could see watching parts of their games on TV, attendance seemed to drop off quite a bit from their first season.

I just hope we aren't caught looking ahead to Wyoming.***

They just hired a new DC. Scored lots of points last season, but gave up too many more. The move to FCS competition next season will definitely challenge him.
