Was reading this article on BR and they mentioned

the Tigers in a way that I think is indicative of how far this program has come:

"Powerhouses such as Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami and UCLA are among the schools garnering his interest at this point."

I'm not sure anyone would've called Clemson a "powerhouse" 4-5 years ago but it's hard to argue against it now!

We should dredge up an old fire Dabo thread, and see which juan of your Morans started it.

My memory say there were many, and many more who doubted his hire as a good choice, but who have remained silent since then, even though they felt that way. My hope is that all of them see just how good he has been for our program, overall. Not just W/L record, but graduation rates, GPA's, lack of trouble, etc. Dabo has been the full deal since he took over and got the right people in place. Now we are in those "powerhouse" conversations again, without the threat of probation.

not sure how anyone could view Miami and UF as current powerhouses

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Well when you beat national championship caliber teams,

Jan 28, 2015, 6:25 PM

I think you deserve to beat considered a powerhouse. Our facilities, coaches, atmosphere and fans are among the best in the nation. Since 2011 we have beat defending national champion Auburn, LSU who was in the national championship the year before we beat them, Georgia who was one play away from being in the national championship in 2012, Ohio state who won the national championship the year after we beat them in the Orange bowl and should have beat defending national champions FSU this past year. Combine that with the 4 consecutive 10 win seasons, winning a conference championship plus a Orange bowl within 3 years, the recruiting classes we have brought in the past 4 years and the players we have sent to the NFL the past few years..... Yeah i would say we should be considered a powerhouse

Don't forget we almost could have beaten Auburn the year they won the championship. We lost in OT when Catman missed the tie-ing FG.
