and Pitt loses in OT.....Jamie Dixon should be taken to task in the Pitt papers for not fouling at the end of regulation when they had a three point advantage

I think a lot of coaches across the country would agree with what he did. It may be a different philosophy than your's, but that doesn't mean it is wrong.

And pretty much every study has shown that there is no sure thing between the two. Both defending it out and fouling are effective about 90% of the time. Look it up on kenpom.
