Letter of Intents: Fax machines should be replaced!

Jan 26, 2015, 4:38 PM

I know my old fax machine has cobwebs and the ink levels are probably depleted. That is way old technology. I bet some recruits are having a hard time finding an active working Fax Machine. Hopefully they are scanning LOI's and calling them a fax.

That just determines their level of commitment.

I'm sure most high schools have working fax machines where they send their LOI's from.

It is a good learning lesson. Sure it is out of date and they won't ever use it outside of school but that could also apply to half the curriculum.

After all these years it's still the only form of legal transfers of documentation other than actually handing them the original copy. Lawyers, real estate agents, and fed/ state govts still have to use these prehistoric communication devices. It's cheap, simple and legal.
