I didn't see any charges related to Chad Kelly drinking or having a fake id. Kelly is only 20 years old and was likely drunk and trying to get into the bar with a fake id.

could be a bar/restaurant/club that allows 18 year olds.

He got very lucky. I've never heard of anyone going after

law enforcement physically and getting charged with a misdemeanor. And threatening to take an AK47 to a building full of people is a terroristic threat. They wouldn't necessarily ultimately push for that in court, but I'm surprised the prosecutor didn't charge it in order to have leverage.

That was my thought. I'm an attorney and in 8 years of working on the prosecution side of criminal cases I never saw anyone who "kick[ed]" or "swung at" an officer not get charged with a felony. I've seen the charge reduced to a misdemeanor through a plea bargain but never initially charged as just a misdemeanor. The report also said that Kelly fought with the people who were booking him at the station.
