Walt's show this week just after Spurrier had said he would like to stick around two to three more years. He said, " Walt, Spurrier just said what was on his mind. He just tells the brutal truth. He's not going to lie!". And the next day, Spurrier did just that. Lie.

I hate to defend Spurrier, but if you watch the interview he NEVER said he was staying 4-5 years. He made some tongue-in-cheek statements like "Yeah, the AD said we have to stay on a 4-5 yr plan," and when asked if he was now planning to stay 4-5 years, he replied "yeah, there needs to always be a 4-5 yr plan, so we will stay on a 4-5 yr plan".
He was obviously just stating the "Company line"! His tone made it clear that there was no way he has changed his mind about how long he wanted to commit to (2-3 yrs), he was just saying what he had to say to try to fix the train wreck he created.
But, in this situation, he did not actually lie.
I think he'll leave after signing day, if it goes bad, or after next season, because it will go bad.

He never said, I will be here 4-5 years. He just said we have a 4-5 year plan in place, etc.... I honestly believe that he is not going to lie and say he will be there 4-5 more years.

Steve Spurrier also said they were looking forward to playing in the Liberty Bowl. Later he was told that they aren't playing in that bowl.
