BB didn't forget how to coach and our players didn't forget how to play. 1st true road test. Home court huge in hoops. Our best players are freshman and sophomore. There will be down nights.
The program is in very good hands. Defensive games can be ugly. Very ugly in fact. We will learn from it and get better. That's what Brownell's teams do.

Well I haven't watched it yet cause I was too busy overcoming a double digit 2nd half deficit to win at the horn myself but I gather it was ugly. We have had these games before under Brownell and will have more. We struggle on offense at times and SC is formidable on defense. That's a recipe for long scoring droughts. It was tied at 30 so I assume they went on run and we couldn't score. It happens. People just flipping out cause it's the coots. Silly. We will be fine.

in the country and almost beat the #1 Wake Forest team here in Littlejohn. Those were some fun times. Right now, not so much. Need some focus and commitment to the program from the AD, IMO.

Agree. I was a student then and tents were needed to get tickets. Here's the thing, BB and Rick Barnes are the same coach. Same styles. We are trying to get back to that identity. Half court defense and just enough offense. Barnes recommended Brownell for the job. Good enough for me. This is simply a tough gig. Brownell will see it through. He is tough. He won't bail when it gets tough unlike his predecessor.

the job. Both got Clemson to the NCAA tourney. I hope we have support for this program moving forward. Coach Brownell has a tough job to do and games like tonight do nothing to help the situation especially with the fanbase.

We beat Duke bad without the press too. See my road game/home court comment. Press sucked at times too. I might be wrong but I believe this is BB worst loss ( margin) at CU. We are in every game for most part. What OP doing now?

about our basketball program that dreamers have been saying for years (no, decades) now. We have an "off night" but success and good times are always "right around the corner." And BB knows what he's doing and he's going to make things happen, etc.
The problem with our BB program is what we're always "going to do." It's our persistent failure except for the rare good year that so many people refuse to recognize.
Yeah, we're going to win the ACC tournament any time now and beat UNC in Chapel Hill any time now. It's always what we're going to do (but never do).
