"promised" Deshaun that if he came to Clemson he would stay for the entirety of Deshaun's collegiate career. I've searched high and low and can find nothing on this. I call B.S. on each and every one of you saying that. Chad did promise his daughter he would stay until she was done with high school after moving from Tulsa in only one year. And he has fulfilled that promise.

he did say something to that effect during recruiting, but I never recall him saying he would stay for his entire career, just the next season.

He likely will never coach another QB this talented, so it is as much his loss.

I am also less worried about Dabo finding a good replacement as I am keeping this class together. We have the pieces committed to be special on offense again, so I hope we can hang onto them.

If we can pay Chad 1.3 million we should have no problem hiring the OC at East Carolina or another school.
