He has to be embarrassed by the timing. But it is solely on SMU. Maybe it will make him mad enough to back out? Might work against them.

You are right. However, if he had delayed accepting until after Saturday then, he wouldn't have anything to be embarrassed about. Just wish he had given that some thought. It takes the attention off of the game.

after this weekend. Anyone believing CM has already taken this job with all the other jobs coming open after this weekend is just biting on a rumor. VT will be calling before sunset tomorrow, SMU doesn't stand a chance.

Since there will be so many games on over this long weekend, this news is a way to generate some conversation about $MU while everyone tunes in.

Best to Chad if he moves on. I hope he'd go out a winner with a win over the chickens.

As much as I'm impressed with the guy from ECU and a few others, I think we'd have to promote Jeff Scott or risk losing him. He's earned that much. I'd hope for a quick announcement to keep recruiting momentum.
