My finace is from WVU and their biggest rivalry is Marshall who they don't even play anymore...
She wants to know why this game is such a big deal and I have explained about the history of this rivalry and all that, but she still doesn't understand...

There is no way to describe it that will make her understand. You have to expose her to Clemson football a lot, and expose her to coots on a regular basis. But if she loves you, she will get it. Trust me! Passion is passion.

Tell her that its a more than a rivalry...its a game of hate...We are probably more respectful of Carolina fans because we are decent human beings and we have some family members or friends that are fans, but deep down we take solace in their demise...
Tell her its more than bragging rights, its more about seeing the look on their stupid faces after every loss and hearing them chant SEC because thats their excuse for program mediocrity...
