Really interesting talking to SCU fans about Watson

Nov 24, 2014, 4:26 PM

As of today - I have a pretty good sample size of data on this topic.

The standard SCU line goes like this.

"I hate that he might miss the game. I can't believe that Dabo would consider even trying to play him at all and risk his future."

Over and over I have heard this. It is like someone passed out Chicken talking points. Many of these guys would not spit on a Clemson player if they were on fire but in this case - on this one occasion - they are finding it in their hearts to forcefully speak out in unison on behalf of our poor injured QB who they are seeking to protect from any and all ill circumstances that might potentially befall him in this one particular game.

Yet is was perfectably acceptable....

for Spurrier to play Conner Shaw in the Missouri game last year just one week after he was disagnosed with a similar knee sprain.

Friggin' moronic hypocrites.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Fortunately, all of the SCar fans I've talked with have zero

faith in their defense.

My response is how I have zero faith in our offense and who really knows how good Watson will be with a bum knee...

Essentially, we're all just sandbagging.

I made that exact point to a coot moron this weekend…His answer was, “Well Connor had a history of playing when hurt..It was less of a risk with him”.

I paid for my fries, told him “Yep, that makes perfect sense” and walked away.
