a great strategy for the coots

Nov 22, 2014, 9:57 PM

I would love to see tyshon dye in a wildcat package. He has great vision to find holes that our other backs don't see. Against the coots d, I think he would shred em. Look at what Kentucky and Tennessee did to them with the wildcat.

Isn't the threat of the wildcat having a RB that can throw

the ball or hand it off to another equally skilled RB. I don't know how great of a passer he is and if he's our best back then what would be the point, it would seem to be pretty predictable to me. As much as Morris likes to run the QB it seems as if we already run a form of the wildcat with a really good running QB.

Using Choice would have been a better ...uh ..... choice.
He played QB in a veer offense last year in HS.

None of the rbs that run the wildcst are great passers. Just about any athlete can throw the ball, which gives the threat of the pass. Much like the halfback pass. The wildcat is more of a way to get your back the ball quickly and let him find the hole, with the added option of an occasional pass.

And watson will not be a big part of the running game on sat because of his injury.

You saying Sammy wasn't an athlete? Cause he sure couldn't throw. **

He could throw, just not very well. Look at any wildcat rb throw the ball and it is not very good, much like Sammy. But its the threat of it the defense has to respect.

CJ and AE both threw TDs in recent years from the running back position. Not from that package though .

They are two wild cats , though.

That's my point exactly. Just because they threw touchdown passes, that doesn't make them great passers. A wildcat rb doesn't have to be a great passer.

Sell the run and Grandma can throw the pass.
