I think Clemson can excel in anything it wants. Far too many people on here act like basketball is some second tier waste of time and even call to end the basketball program . That's silly.

In my honest opinion, with the right coach , with the right attitude, you could work wonders here. But you need the right guy. Rick Barnes was close to it. I am really upset with brad brownell losing two games back to back to smaller local colleges. They r both decent teams but that's not the point. This shouldn't be happening except in rare air. But twice in a row? Unreal.

I think we have some good young talent but clearly some of our talent is very average. Our recruiting is very suspect. Brownell hasn't really attracted real talent . And I don't buy the whole we can't compare crap. We need a coach that is a master recruiter or who has someone on staff who is. Someone who can sell clemson . Clearly we r failing in some critical areas. Brownell can coach but in some areas, he isn't all that great.
