CLEMSON FAN=IPTAY

I did not attend any college. I was way to immature for that when I was younger. Here is my opinion of a TRUE CLEMSON FAN. One question and only one question. How you answer, well that determines if you're a REAL CLEMSON FAN. Do you give to IPTAY? Doesn't matter how much or what level. It only matters that you give. I have been a donor for years. I am a season ticket holder in football. I attend 4-6 basketball games a year. I live in NC, about 2 1/2 hours from Clemson. I wear my orange everyday, all year. It will be purple tomorrow. I love my TIGERS, win or loose. I support my TIGERS, win or loose. DO you?
Just my non alumni of anywhere opinion.

dime to the Gamecock club. To me, you really don't give a d@mn if you don't give back to your school.
Minimum is like, what, 140 bucks a year? Of course there are exceptions, but ALMOST anyone can afford that.

You bet I am. I am in a similar situation as you. I didn't go to school at Clemson but grew-up in a Clemson family. I spent my saturdays playing on the hill while my parents watched the games.My grand father played football for Clemson and my Dad and sister graduated from Clemson too. Me I took the military route 22 years worth. But yes I am an IPTAY donor and a season ticket holder have been for years. My whole family is 100% all Clemson. Yes Id say I am a true fan through the good and bad. I'm all in all the time.

I don't think you have to donate to IPTAY to be a true fan. I think if you buy a ticket on any given Saturday to sit in the stands and cheer the Tigers on, you're good. I also think that if you sit in your living room and watch a game on TV and cheer for the Tigers, you're good. (IMO)

I agree with the OP. It is only a very small sacrifice to be a donor to the program that raises the scholarship money to provide you with the entertainment AND Clemson experience that you obviously enjoy .. regardless of the venue you choose to see the game. IPTAY is at or near the very top in athletic support groups in America and this is possible because of the support that the organization gets from a diverse group including NON alumni, Welcome on board.
