Louisville's Uniforms last night

Oct 31, 2014, 2:36 PM

So glad Clemson keeps it simple and doesn't wear that ugly latest and greatest garbage. Seems like that is the only way some of these schools can recruit now. "If you come here, you can wear fancy uniforms every week kid!"

Yeah I missed the start. Was there some underlying reason for that?

Those things were hideous. Looked like faded blue jeans.

Very glad what we do is distinct enough not to need it.

Even Tennessee has been silly and mucked with their orange calling card. It may also be the only way some of these less tradition laden schools can move merchandise.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Tennessee never heard of the ,"If it ain't broke don't fix

it", principle.

I thought they were pretty bada$$, but at the same time I am glad we keep with our tradition

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well I liked them

Oct 31, 2014, 3:33 PM

And I wish we'd at least do SOMETHING with our unis every once in a while. Maybe a purple helmet?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Maybe a possibility the next time we have to play

Oct 31, 2014, 4:01 PM

Clemson's uniform combinations are the best and most attractive there are anywhere. NO changes needed!

And the Paw is the most distinctive and meaningful logo of any team!! It's recognized everywhere - unlike many others.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Pure ugliness!

Oct 31, 2014, 3:39 PM

FSU jerseys were awful as well

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Amen. There are some schools that just don't go in for

Oct 31, 2014, 3:49 PM

all of that and I'm glad Clemson is one of them. I understand the Oregon think and they do what they do well. But all of these others are really looking like they are trying too hard, they have gotten away from their school colors, and the uniform are looking worse and worse. I mean the Louisville uniform last night was terrible. One day, when these schools decide it is not the thing to do, they will regret looking back and seeing pic of their team in these uniforms that have no reason to them at all.

Thought they both looked great

Oct 31, 2014, 3:59 PM

UofL's grey units were sharp, but the dark helmets made it tough up see the cardinal on them.

Gray! Yucky color - or is it a color?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Does that "color" have a name? Maybe could call it "gross"***

2 things wrong with UL's uniforms last night - 1) Why would

Oct 31, 2014, 4:09 PM

you not promote your school's primary color/brand via uniform in the biggest home game TV broadcast in their history and 2)On D their gray was such a startling contrast to FSU's white uni's that the FSU receivers stood out extremely well downfield for a QB to target as plays began to break down. I know the 2nd point could be said about any contrasting team colors, but that gray seemed to take it up a few notches.
