I call BS, I think he works for a PR firm the University of Cheating Tarholes hired to minimize the damage. The people at PackPride linked them to some comments sections below some of the original articles when this scandal started really getting juicy.

I understand you feel betrayed. You and all of Tarhole nation are just now finding out what we all knew for the past thirty years. Y'all (its ok to say that here - save the "you guys" for all of your Duke-wanna-be yankee tarhole friends) now know that your "college's" reputation is being flushed down the proverbial sh!tter right in front of the entire world, for everyone to see, and that's probably pretty painful. But flushing sh!t is necessary.
