Those who don't think SMU is good for Chad

It is in Dallas, great recruiting base, tons of money and are prepared to start a bid for Mack Brown starting at 4 Million a year. Chad wouldn't get that, but he would get a very nice pay raise and get to go home to start a program with all the tools to win.

If he is successful at a school like SMU (or Tulsa for that matter), it would most certainly lead to an opportunity to become the head coach at a major program in one of the Power 5 conferences.

On the other hand, if he is unseccessful and ends-up getting fired from a school like SMU or Tulsa, it would be a huge set-back and he would probably have to go back to being a coordinator in an attempt to reseurrect/re-start his career.

Of course, what new job isn't a risky endeavor.

Smu is a dumpster fire. Worst team in college football. Brown might take it for the check but doubt it. morris would be silly to take that job. Almost anyone would. Winning 4 games would be a turnaround but not good enough so hed get fired and someone else would take over benefit from what he started but he would be deemed a failure. Rich rod at michigan is a prime example
