OC @ a Power 5 Conference School v HC anywhere else.

Oct 23, 2014, 11:36 AM

I think this is likely the first 'evidence' of the split of the 'haves and have nots' that is coming.

I honestly, whether it be $ or stature, don't see how one could argue that a coordinator position at a Power 5 conference school is anything but a "better" gig than a HC at a non Power 5.

The only argument to take that 'lower' HC job, is if you think HC experience is a must to eventually be a HC in a power 5 conference school.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

how would you describe the job

Muschamp is doing...

compared to Todd Graham and Gus Malzahn?

Of course, Brian Kelley might want some of that action too.

As I said, I think being a coordinator...

...is a better job at a power 5 than HC at the other schools.

Your questions is on which prepares a guy better, and you offer some examples...I'm not arguing w/ you, that could be the one reason to take one of those other HC gigs.

It really depends on your personal goals as a

Person. Not every one is driven stricky by who pays the most. Look at our coach he took a reduction in pay and gave it to other coaches, because money isn't his number one goal.
