One thing that DW does that really separates him from Boyd

Not trying to put Tajh down but we all know he had his moments where he would freak out when the pocket collapsed. I've now seen 3 or 4 times when Watson senses pressure and for a split second looks out of sorts, but he immediately gathers himself and looks down field and makes a great throw. In years past we usually saw interceptions on forced throws in these situations.
BTW, I saw Tajh tweeted out "4!" around the same time Watson came in the game against FSU.

agreed, he moves in the pocket a lot better, while keeping his eyes down field. Boyd had a tendency to just tuck it and run, or force the pass as you noted.

Yeah, the thing that first pops out is that he keeps his eyes down the field and you get the sense that's he's already spotted something and is just buying himself time before it comes open.

the best play he made last Sat... IMO... was on the TD pass

to Scott across the middle (I think it was where Scott powered his way in)
DW's footwork was incredible. He slide left just outside the pocket, and he stayed on his toes while continuing to look downfield.
It was really nice.

Keeping him grounded it seems.

Yea, DW does have better feet and being 2 inches taller (than Tajh) helps him see the field alot better too.

The other thing that I noticed about DW that Taj struggled with is that he sees the entire field. Taj either focused left or right and looked for opportunities only on that side of the field.

Two cannot be coached, and the other can only be developed if u have good feet to begin with. If his head stays screwed on and he stays healthy, we are watching a ROH member and 1st rounder. Kids instincts are off the charts and he has an accurate howitzer of an arm. He will be the best to ever wear a Paw.

I have seen several times where the pocket begins to collapse and DW simply moves a few steps away from the pressure to buy some time. TB rarely did that and his happy feet took off and he was running. TB was great in his own way, but DW differs from him. Lucky to have had one and now have the other.
